Website Care

Help keeping your site current after launch, one month at a time. Optional, and never a condition of the build.

What website care is

After launch, most websites still need small changes: new hours, a price update, a fresh photo, an event date. Website Care is a monthly plan for those changes. You tell me what needs to change and I make the edit, so your site stays current without you learning to edit it.

Each plan also includes a watch on your domain, HTTPS, and uptime so problems get caught early.

Why it matters

Your site stays accurate

Hours, prices and services change. Small updates are easy to put off; a plan means they get done.

Problems get caught early

The watch on your domain, HTTPS, and uptime is there so an issue is noticed by me, not by a customer.

Nothing new to learn

You don’t have to learn how your site is built to keep it current.

When a plan isn’t worth it. If your site rarely changes, paying by the hour is often the better deal. See “No plan” below.

What each plan covers

Every build comes with a 30-day Launch Warranty. After that, a monthly plan is optional.

Launch Warranty

Included

  • 30 days of post-launch coverage on every build
  • Bug fixes, typos, and broken links
  • Display glitches on any device
  • No charge — it's part of the job

Every site starts here. If anything slipped past the pre-launch checks, it’s fixed at no charge while the site settles in.

Priority Care

from $149/month

  • Everything in Website Care
  • Up to 2 hours of updates or new sections monthly
  • SEO & site-speed check-ins
  • Priority 24–48 hour turnaround

For a site that changes often or is still growing: more time each month, room for new sections on your existing pages, check-ins on search and speed, and a faster turnaround.

No plan

$85/hour

  • One-off updates whenever you need them
  • 30-minute minimum, then billed in 15-minute increments

Plans run month to month, and you can add a plan any time after launch. Your domain is paid directly to your registrar, and hosting on your own Netlify account is free for most small sites.

How it works

What counts as an update

Website Care covers new content, dates, pricing, and copy changes.

On Priority Care, new sections on existing pages can use plan time. Brand-new pages are quoted separately.

On Website Care, a new section is quoted separately, like a brand-new page.

Your monthly time

Up to 45 minutes a month on Website Care; up to 2 hours on Priority Care.

Unused time resets each month. It doesn’t roll over.

Time beyond the plan is billed at $85/hour in 15-minute increments, and I check with you before going over.

Asking for a change

Email hello@emberwrightstudio.com with what you’d like changed and which page it’s on, plus any new words or photos. A screenshot helps. On Priority Care, requests have a 24–48 hour turnaround.

When hourly work applies instead

Without a plan, one-off updates are billed at $85/hour, 30-minute minimum, then billed in 15-minute increments. Hourly work is estimated before I start, and I check with you before going past the estimate. Hourly work is invoiced after the work is done.

How billing works

A plan chosen at launch starts, and is first billed, on the day your Launch Warranty ends. A plan added later starts the day you sign up, is first billed that day, then monthly on that date.

Care plans are billed monthly. For now, payment is by Zelle: I email an invoice on the billing date, due within 7 days.

Before your first payment, I’ll confirm the price and monthly billing in writing, and keep your approval on file. The plan renews each month until you cancel.

You can switch plans at your next billing date.

How to cancel

Email hello@emberwrightstudio.com before your next billing date. Partial months aren’t refunded.

After you cancel, coverage continues through the end of the month you’ve already paid for.

What a plan doesn’t cover

  • Hosting and your domain are separate from care.
  • Brand-new pages are quoted separately, on either plan.
  • On Website Care, a new section is quoted separately, like a brand-new page.
  • Ongoing SEO work, blog writing, ads and link building aren’t part of either plan.
  • Other companies’ fees. Domains, Shopify and other third-party services are paid to those companies directly.
  • Ranking guarantees. Nobody can guarantee rankings on Google, and I don’t promise them.

Questions

Do I need a care plan?

No — plans are optional, and you can add one any time after launch. Without a plan, one-off updates are billed at $85/hour, 30-minute minimum, then billed in 15-minute increments. Hourly work is estimated before I start, and I check with you before going past the estimate.

Which plan should I pick?

If your site changes now and then, Website Care. If it changes often, or you want room for new sections and a faster turnaround, Priority Care. If it rarely changes, paying by the hour is often the better deal.

Is there a contract?

No — care plans run month to month, and you can cancel anytime.

Does a plan include hosting and my domain?

No. Your domain is paid directly to your registrar, and hosting on your own Netlify account is free for most small sites. A plan covers the updates themselves, plus the watch on your domain, HTTPS, and uptime so problems get caught early.

Want help keeping your site current?

Tell me about your site and how often it changes. I’ll recommend the plan that fits, or tell you if paying by the hour makes more sense.
