artofandres.com — a working artist's home on the web

Andres Gallardo is a multimedia artist and TEDx speaker whose art, press, commissions, and speaking work needed one clear home beyond Instagram. Through Emberwright Studio, I worked directly with Andres to shape and launch a multi-page website that brings it together in his voice and gives visitors clear ways to explore the work or get in touch.

The live homepage: bright, minimal, and strictly black and white, so the artwork is the only color on the page. Select any screenshot to enlarge.

The brief: "bright and minimal — let the art speak"

Andres runs the GEM Movement — painting on vinyl records and found materials, then leaving finished pieces in public for strangers to find and keep. His work already had press coverage, a TEDx talk, commission work, and a speaking history at universities across New York. What he did not have was one website that brought all of it together.

His questionnaire gave us a starting point. From there, Andres and I shaped the structure together: curated galleries for his fine art and the GEM Movement, a press page for his TEDx talk and other coverage, consultation-based paths for commissions and speaking, and a contact form that sends inquiries to his inbox. The finished multi-page site brings that work together on his own domain.

His references pointed us toward a bright, gallery-white design that lets the artwork carry the color. His answers and feedback shaped the words, the page order, and the way visitors move from discovering the work to asking about a commission or speaking engagement.

“Working with Dave, the pieces fell together perfectly. No stone was left unturned, and I felt like we truly built it together. I couldn’t recommend him more. 10/10.”

What supports the finished site

The visible experience rests on careful content, image, accessibility, and launch work.

Six core pages plus a branded 404Home, Fine Art, GEM Movement, press, commissions, and speaking each have a clear place, plus a branded 404 for dead links.

Press and video in contextHis TEDx talk, Complex/Modelo video, pull quotes, and other coverage sit alongside the work they help explain.

Galleries people can useVisitors can open each piece full-screen; keyboard access, touch gestures, focus management, and reduced-motion support cover different ways of browsing.

Inquiry without a separate backendCommission, speaking, press, and general inquiries go through one spam-protected form to his inbox.

A web-ready photo libraryMore than 70 source photos — including HEIC files — were converted, cropped or padded as needed, stripped of metadata, and compressed for the web.

Search, sharing, and launchCanonical tags, social cards, a sitemap, robots.txt, domain connection, and HTTPS give the site solid search, sharing, and launch foundations.

What does a build like this cost?

At current founding-client pricing, a multi-page project with galleries, press, commission and speaking inquiry paths, SEO essentials, and launch support aligns with my Complete Site tier, from $2,000. The One-Page Site tier starts at $750, and Website Care is available after launch. Final pricing is confirmed after a scope review.

Want a website built around what you do?

It starts with a short discovery questionnaire and a conversation. I use what you share to recommend a direction, then we review and refine it together so the finished site fits your work, your audience, and what you need it to accomplish. If you would rather ask a few questions first, start there.
