A questionnaire and a conversation
A few questions about your business, your customers, and what you want the website to accomplish. You don’t need to have everything figured out; short answers or bullet points are perfect. Then we talk it through.
A website built around your business, not a template, shaped with you from the first questionnaire to launch day.
Small businesses and independent professionals who need a website that actually feels like them.
It usually starts with someone knowing their business far better than they know how to explain it online. You don’t need to arrive with a plan. Bring whatever you already have: notes, existing copy, social posts, photos, or even rough ideas. I’ll use that to shape a first direction, then we refine it together until it sounds like you and fits the site.
Every website follows the same steps, and the payments line up with them.

I’ll recommend the package that fits and anything worth adding. Every project is a little different, so the final price is confirmed after a quick scope review. No work starts until the first payment is made.
Projects $1,000 and up: 15% to start (minimum $250), which covers a homepage preview: one page, one round of changes, delivered within 7 days. If you decide not to continue after the homepage preview, you owe nothing more. The preview stays with Emberwright.
15% · homepage previewIf you’d like to continue: 35% when you approve the direction and the full build begins, 25% when you approve the full-site preview, and 25% before launch.
Each package includes a set number of revision rounds: one on the One-Page Site, two on the Multi-Page Site, three on the Complete Site.
35% · 25%Before launch, I check every page, link and form at phone, tablet and desktop sizes. Then your site goes live at your own web address, connected and checked on launch day. Every build comes with the 30-day Launch Warranty and a personalized Launch Guide.
25% before launchOptional, and never a condition of the build. You can add a plan any time after launch. No plan? One-off updates are billed by the hour.
$300 to $999: 50% to start, 50% before launch. That covers a One-Page Site at its starting price. Full payment and refund terms: How payment works →
The work behind the pages, in plain words. Most of it comes with every package.
The padlock (HTTPS), extra protection against common attacks, and no plugins, database or admin login on the site itself.
A clear title and description for every page, a sitemap, link previews that look right, and Google Search Console set up in your name.
Layouts checked on phones, tablets and computers, keyboard access, measured color contrast, images described in words, and fast, lightweight pages.
Forms that reach you with spam screened out, your own domain, a branded 404 page, and a pre-launch check across pages and devices.
Once the project is paid in full, the finished website files are yours; your domain, hosting and other accounts stay in your name. You also get a build log, the 30-day Launch Warranty and a personalized Launch Guide.
